First Week


Cricket Bat

  • show bat direction (attack angle) through zone

  • stand up hitters will roll over

  • focus on oppo live drives


Thin Bat

  • focus on line drives, play fruit ninja

  • stand up hitter will miss or extreme +/- LA

  • show bat direction (attack angle) through zone


Bat weights 9 oz 12 oz 16 oz 21 oz

  • Stand up hitters will struggle w/ added weight

  • Focus rotate fast have consistent movements

  • Line drives oppo


Second Week


Rebel Rack

  • focus is oppo line drive

  • Over exaggerate hinge over toes

  • Stand up hitters Will swing over, slow down swing


Nunchuck Bat

  • stand up hitters will swing over

  • Rotate fast for a “real” bat

  • focus is oppo line drive


PVC Lean

  • will show stand up movement

  • focus is oppo line drive

  • Over exaggerate hinge over toes


Third Week


Frisbee

  • will wobble if not fast movement

  • Will fade pull side if standing up

  • will show stand up movement

  • focus is oppo line drive


Slide pads

  • use w/ frisbee for stride reaches

  • Build rear leg strength to avoid the stand up need

  • Focus is controlled movements


Plyo balls

  • focus is to rotate fast

  • Feel the turn of the body vs stand up


Line hops

  • Stabilize the rear knee and ankle

  • Focus fast movements


Crate jump turns 

  • stabilize rear leg

  • Acceleration & focuses on body mobility while maintaining hinge

  • Works little muscles to keep balance


45 closed slams

  • Working slow to accelerated movements

  • Hip/front leg is trigger for quick acceleration


Baby rockers

  • focuses on maintaining consistent hinge

  • Works little muscle for balance

  • Great for stand up people


PVC Quick Swing

  • promotes same swing path back & forth

  • Hips have to accelerate first to start momentum

  • Body then maintains hip hinge

  • Can hear acceleration


Game sense

  • works pitch recognition

  • Adds point system

  • Allows for replay


Fourth Week


Eye patch

  • working one eye at a time Will change depth perception & focus for athlete changing timing

  • Stand up hitters can’t hit the ball 8” inside of stride w/ power


Color baseballs 

  • using the eye patch next level is calling out colors

  • taking red

  • Taking green


Pitching machine 

  • Challenging bat to ball
